1. Payment Policy
All bookings must be paid in advance. The full booking amount will be automatically charged 24 hours hours after booking confirmation. By making a reservation, you authorise the Western Hotel, St Ives to process this payment using the details provided at the time of booking.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date may be eligible for a refund, subject to the terms of your booking.
Any cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date are non-refundable, and the full booking amount will be forfeited.
3. Check-In Arrangements
Standard check in time is from 14:00 - 22:00.
If you anticipate arriving outside normal reception hours, please notify us in advance.
4. Check-Out Policy
Check out time is 10:00 on the day of departure.
We are pleased to offer luggage storage after check out, allowing you to enjoy your final hours in St Ives.
Please be advised that failure to vacate your room by the designated check-out time may result in an additional charge. This policy allows us sufficient time to prepare rooms for incoming guests.
5. Arrival By Car, Parking & Local Traffic Information
Guests arriving by car are encouraged to drop off luggage at the hotel before parking. Our staff will be happy to provide directions and guidance to the nearest car park.
The following Cornwall Council car parks operate on a pay-and-displays basis. Parking tickets may also be purchased online via www.RingGo.co.uk.
The Island Car Park (TR26 1SY) offers a chip and pin machine and is the only location where weekly parking tickets can be purchased. Once purchased, weekly parking tickets may be used interchangeably across the other participating car parks, offering flexibility and convenience during your stay.
Trenwith Car Park (TR26 1DD) is the largest long stay car park in St Ives, with ample spaces ideal for longer visits. Located at the top of a steep hill, it is served by a regular shuttle bus that runs into the town centre during the main season, typically operating until late in the evening. The shuttle service stops in the Royal Square, directly outside of the Western Hotel.
Other Council Car Parks: further options include the Station, Barnoon Long Stay, Park Avenue, Porthrepta (Carbis Bay) and Smeatons Pier, each with varying capacities and pricing structures.
Traffic System in St Ives:
Please be aware that St Ives has introduced updated traffic management measures designed to improve vehicle flow, safety and accessibility through the narrow streets. These measures may affect vehicle movement patterns, bus priority routes and certain restricted zones, especially during peak summer months. It is recommended that you plan your arrival route in advance and allow extra times if travelling by car into the town centre.

7. Guest Behaviour
Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner at all times. Any behaviour deemed innapropriate, disruptive, abusive or likely to cause distress or inconvenience to other guests or staff will not be tolerated.
The Western Hotel reserves the right to refuse service or request guests to leave the premisess immediately if their behaviour is deemed unnacceptable. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued for any unused portion of the stay.
8. Damage To Property
Guests are financially responsible for any damage, breakages or loss caused to the hotel property, furnishings, fittings or equipment during their stay, whether accidental or deliberate.

Guests are asked to respect quiet hours, particularly during the night. Excessive noise may result in a warning or immediate action being taken by management.
Repeated complaints or serious disturbances may lead to early termination of the stay without refund.
10. Smoking Policy
The Western Hotel operates a strict non-smoking policy though out the building. Smoking in bedrooms or indoor public areas may result in a cleaning and deodorising charge being applied to the booking to cover professional cleaning costs.

The hotel shall not be held responsible for the damage or loss of personal belongings unless required by law. Guests are advised to take reasonable precautions to safeguard their valuables during their stay.
